Many of us are mindful of the things we do. But how many of us understand the motives behind why we do what we do?

Motive is an integral part of understanding ourselves, and bringing our consciousness into higher perspectives.

Yes, it is important to behave in a conscious manner, and to live a good life (good is not a word I use often for it is a relative state. It is for the purpose of brevity that I employ it here.). But what takes one’s behavior, and one’s life, to the next level of consciousness, is to be aware of what motivates the behavior in the first place.

Does one perform charitable acts to be recognized as a good person, or because he/she feels blessed and abundant and wants to share that with others?

The difference lies in the motive. And, from an energetic perspective, the latter raises the frequency of the deed, bringing the doer and the receiver higher; where the former holds the energy template still.

It’s great to perform “random acts of kindness”, but if we do them for self-gain we limit the inherent power of the act to elevate all involved in the act.

Check out my audio on MOTIVE**. Do the exercise offered. Pay attention to your thoughts, deeds, and feelings; pay attention to your Self.
