The Power of the Mind
People are now learning more about the power of the mind. Yet being aware of it is not enough, one must apply this awareness and take action with focused intent to make the changes you desire. Changes can be immediate, but usually they are more gradual.
For example, if you want to create a healthier body, you may want to start by sending good thoughts to it, thank it for taking care of you, and ask the cells in your body to assist you in your transformation.
Notice the Signs...
If you are facing a challenging decision, look for “signs” from the universe such as synchronicities or coincidences. For example, have you ever had the same phrase or advice given to you from more than one person in a short time period? Has anything synchronous ever happened, like a song on the radio that seemed to answer a question you were pondering? Have you ever been thinking of someone and then they call or another person mentions them at the same time? These are all ways that your Angels and the universe are trying to help answer your question.
The Body Mind Soul Connection
We are all souls with a body to live in while we are here. We are not just a body that happens to have a soul.
To find health and happiness, you should honor both your physical body to be healthy, and also your mind and spirit. It is your soul that pushes you to be all that you can be, achieve goals, and to find happiness and contentment. To help create a positive shift in your health – do things that make your soul happy.
The physical world is a learning environment for the soul. We all come here with special gifts and talents. We also come here with specific lessons to learn during our lifetimes. Within each experience of fear, pain or negativity is the opportunity to learn a lesson and gain compassion and wisdom.
Trust that you are where you need to be at this moment in time and that the future will fall into place. Trust in the process of life – and take good care of your body, mind and soul!
What is a Mantra?
Mantras are reputations of prayer, chants or sacred sounds. Mantras are often used to achieve higher states of consciousness or manifest healing energy.
The OM chant is one of the most widely used mantras and comes from Hindu tradition. It is often used to resonate with the third eye chakra.
The AH chant is very powerful and resonates with the heart chakra.
The HU chant is considered by many to have the highest vibration and is often used to activate both the heart and crown chakras.
No matter which mantra appeals to you, the intention of the user is of utmost importance. Your intention amplifies the energy of the mantra.
The Universal Law of Attraction
You are a magnet attracting the essence of what you are thinking and feeling. If you want to change your reality you need to change where you focus your attention and energy. Positive attracts positive and negative attracts negative.
Unfortunately, due to lack of knowledge, we often unknowingly use visualization to create experiences we do not want in our lives, such as worrying about something that is dreaded, fearful or unwanted in our lives.
To manifest positive changes – use positive visualization techniques.
Effective positive visualization techniques include a clear image of what you want to create combined with a strong positive emotion about the goal. Visualizing that you have already achieved your goal is another important step and increases the positive energy around manifesting your desired outcome.
The power of your belief in yourself in extremely important. If you consciously or unconsciously feel you don’t deserve what you’re asking for, you won’t get it.
To help manifest, mental pictures are a very important tool you can use. If mental images do not come to you easily, then you can also use affirmations with words or thoughts to create the positive energy needed to make a change. You can make your affirmations even more effective by involving several of these techniques. (July 2008)
