Tibetan Medicine

Tibetan Medicine is based on both the body’s relationship to its environment and the Buddhist principles of the connection between mind, body and spirit. Disease and suffering springs from a specific cause, whether from this life or a previous life. Tibetan medical theory states that everything in the universe is made up of the five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Space. Each element has a specific influence on the body. Treatments can include using Tibetan herbs, modifying a patient's diet and/or lifestyle, massage, acupuncture, medicinal baths and yoga. Tibetan Medicine is particularly successful in the treatment of chronic diseases such as arthritis, asthma, digestive disorders, rheumatism, hepatitis, liver problems, sinus problems, eczema, ulcers, and anxiety..
